UPDATE: SEPTEMBER 2021
On July 1st 2021, the tax/VAT rules between the UK and the EU changed. Instead of paying customs duties and charges on receipt of your Pom Pom order, you will be charged VAT at checkout on orders up to €150 and we will then manage this VAT for you. This means that you should not be charged any extra fees to receive your items.
Orders over €150 will be charged VAT and admin charges on receipt at the border.
These rules apply to all orders for customers in the EU, and we do not offer the option to opt-out of VAT charges at checkout at this time.
We have had reports from readers in the EU that some copies are being charged customs fees. Our shipping partner has let us know that many companies are experiencing the same issue and, although we are correctly registered for tax, this is sometimes not being acknowledged by the customs authorities.
If you receive notification of a fee, please dispute the charges with your customs authority and please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know so that we can investigate.
I have a question about the VAT at checkout
Please email us at email@example.com with any questions and we'll be happy to help!
Which products will have VAT applied to them?
For EU customers, you will be charged VAT on books, magazines, subscriptions and merchandise items. You will also be charged VAT on digital products.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out and we'll be happy to help! Thank you so much to our EU customers for your patience during this tricky time!
