Issue 35 - Official Preview!

A hearty HELL-O to Issue 35! Our vivid and dramatic Winter 2020 collection is guest edited by Stephen West and Aimée Gille, and they have bought their passion for colour, texture, and bold design to PPQ35. We’re thrilled to publish their vision.

Stephen and Aimée, as a dynamic duo themselves, chose colourful collaborations as their theme for this issue! Prepare yourselves for delightful pairings in these winter bright designs, ranging from a designer-yarn dyer collaboration, to two designers working on the same design, to two paired yarns just destined to be worked together!

If you wish to view the designs on Ravelry, you can do so here.

Within the pages of this eye-popping issue is Aimée’s very own scone recipe, which she uses to bake scones for L’Oisive Thé (her café / yarn shop in Paris). This is a recipe for plain scones, so Aimée recommends serving them with salted butter and the jam of the moment! PPQ35 also contains a Q&A with Adella Colvin of LolaBean Yarn Co! Adella and Gaye Glasspie chat about the origins of LolaBean and the impact of what Adella terms the “Black Wave” on her yarn business.

With thanks to our models Bintou Loum & Justin Kim, a dreamy doublet themselves, and our photographer, Darren Smith.
