Short row 3: [P1, k1] 7 times, p1, SM, k1, SM, [p1, k1] 7 times, p1, kwtog, [p1, k1] 3 times, w&t.

Short row 4: [P1, k1] 11 times, SM, p1, SM, [k1, p1] 7 times, k1, pwtog, [k1, p1] 3 times, w&t.

** Using the long-tail method and yarn A, cast on 3 sts.
Next Row: K3, sl3 wyib back to LH needle, do not turn.

Edging

The edging is worked along both long edges of the parallelogram in yarn B.

When picking up stitches along the i-cord edge, there should be approximately six picked-up sts per repeat of rows 1-12 of the chart pattern.

Top Edge

With RS facing, using yarn B and beg at the marked corner (from the last row of Chart A) in the i-cord stitch to the right of the marker, pick up and knit 71 sts to next marker, remove locking stitch marker, pick up and knit 1 st in marked st, PM, pick up and knit 3 sts across 3-needle cast off join, PM, pick up and knit 132 sts to next marker, remove locking stitch marker, PM, pick up and knit 10 sts to corner. 217 sts

Next Row (WS): Knit.

Rep last row twice more.

 

Cast off with RS facing as foll:

Set-up: K1, sl st from RH needle to LH needle, MB.

Step 1: [Sl st from RH needle to LH needle, k2tog tbl] eleven times.

Step 2: Sl st from RH needle to LH needle, MB.

Rep steps 1-2 a further 4 times, then rep step 1 only once more.

Next Step: Remove marker, sl st from RH needle to LH needle, k2tog tbl, sl st from RH needle to LH needle, MB, sl st from RH needle to LH needle, k2tog tbl, removing marker.

Rep steps 1-2 a further 11 times.

LOWER BODY

Round 1(A): [Brk1, sl1yo] to end.

Round 1(B): [Sl1yo, brp1] to end.

Rep round 1 (A and B) until piece measures 23 (25, 25, 28, 33) cm / 9 (9¾, 9¾, 11, 13)” from underarm or 7 cm / 2¾” less than desired front length, ending with a yarn B round.

Front Hem

Row 1 (RS, A): [Brk1, sl1yo] to 1 st before marker, brk1, remove marker, place all rem sts on holder for Back, removing beg of round marker. Do not turn, slide Front sts to other end of needle. 77 (87, 97, 107, 115) sts

Row 1 (RS, B): Sl1yo, [brp1, sl1yo] to end. Turn work.

Row 2 (WS, A): Brp1, [sl1yo, brp1] to end. Slide sts.

Row 2 (WS, B): Sl1yo, [brk1, sl1yo] to end. Turn work.

Row 3 (RS, A): Brk1, [sl1yo, brk1] to end. Slide sts.

Row 3 (RS, B): Sl1yo, [brp1, sl1yo] to end. Turn work.

Repeat rows 2-3 a further 8 more times, then row 2 only once more, ending with a yarn B WS row.

Break yarn A. With yarn B, cast off using Elastic Cast Off
