Episode 2 - The Return of the Cast

Blossom in London - Spring! yay!

Happy Spring Pom Pom people! We hope the weather is improving where you are. There is blossom here in London, and occasionally some sunshine. Just in case Spring hasn't quite sprung yet where you are (and even if it has) we bring you Pomcast 2, to help ease any Spring blues.

If you want to listen to Sophie and Lydia chat about life, knitting and everything (and say 'lovely' about a million times!) you can listen to Pomcast 2 here:

(pssst – if you are trying to listen on a mobile device you need the Soundcloud app).

Here's what we talked about:

Tell and Tell

The part of the show where we get down to business and talk projects! Lydia is still working on Quadrillion (get a move on Lydz!) but has managed to finish a new pair of Tuuli Mitts from PPQ7. Meanwhile, Sophie has finished a lovely hat, Irving by Jared Flood in Berroco Blackstone Tweed.

Reviews

Sophie and Lydia reviewed the lovely Knitbot Yoked by Hannah Fettig, Sophie's pick of the book is the Birdie Fair Isle Cardigan, whereas Lydia's fave is the Willard Fair Isle Pullover.

Interview

In this episode Sophie interviews artist, knitter, designer and sometime Pom Pom contributor Anna Maltz. Anna talks about the genesis of the naked suits (see PPQ8), her work in schools and with the Ricefield Collective, and exactly what sort of odd person she is (i.e. an awesome one).  Anna has a design coming up in the next issue of Pom Pom... so watch this space.
