Episode 50 – Joji Locatelli + Veera Välimäki
Hello Pomcats!
We hope you are enjoying some lovely spring weather wherever you are. We have had a glimpse of sun in London, and we are very excited about warmer days. It's even easier to get excited knowing that our new summer issue will be released very soon! But more on that later...
Of course we have your usual favourite pick'n'mix of knitty chat, including an interview with the dynamic designing duo Joji Locatelli & Veera Välimäki! This episode is sponsored by Ritual Dyes, one of our current faves for gorgeous hand dyed yarn and lovely knitting accessories. Thanks so much Ritual Dyes!

News
Our main news this episode is that Issue 25 is just around the corner. We can't wait to show you guys what we have been working on, all inspired by that humble pattern - the stripe. The issue features knitted stripes in all their glory, as tops, wraps, and bags, to keep you in knitting throughout the summer. Who said knitting was a winter only activity?! Alongside the knits we are also featuring a tutorial from our buddies at The London Loom, and if you are in London on the 8th May you can come along and join us for a little get together at their studio!
You may also have heard that PPHQ London has moved! It was quite a task to shift all those boxes, but we are settling into our new space. We aren't quite ready to share any pics (still slightly chaotic), but we did unearth some vintage podcast memorabilia in the form of a drawing Lydia did to illustrate a story about a sheep pyramid she saw in Swansea many years ago...
Tell + Tell
We somehow missed Tell + Tell in our EYF podcast, we were too excited about being surrounded by yarn and yarnies! I bet you guys are wondering what we are up to? Here's the lowdown on what we're making so you need wonder no more. Sophie is working on her Kipper Socks in Fine Fish Shimmer Sock, as well as her colour blocked Boum Tank ready for summer.
Lydia has almost finished her Soirée and has become obsessed with this simple slipper pattern, and plans to make as many as possible. They have proved a great stash buster, as well as looking pretty darned cute.
Reviews
We are very excited to hand over to Meghan for our main review for this episode. As our US correspondent Meghan has kindly taken a look at Ritual Dyes' Knitting Backbacks, which she is a very big fan of! These bags are not only stylish, but very handy, and can be worn in so many different ways! Want a backback? You've got it! Want to knit from it like a yarn bowl? No problem!
We also took a look at The Uncommon Thread Everyday Sport, which was used by Veera Välimäki in her Reflection shawl design from Interpretations Volume 5. One of the special things about this latest volume is that each of the colours was created as a custom for the book, and we are so pleased to be able to offer a kit featuring the yarn and book all as one! A perfect gift for a knitting friend, or a treat for yourself.
Interview
This month Meghan had a chat to Joji Locatelli & Veera Välimäki while at the Hill Country Weavers retreat in Texas. What a treat to be able to chat to both these designers while they launched the 5th volume of Interpretations!

TOP THREE
This episode we have decided to list our top 3 moving tips... Sophie moved house recently, Lydia might be moving soon, and of course PPHQ has moved. So we have moving on our minds!
