This episode we’re catching up with Lydia’s travels stateside as she was recently in Austin, Texas to join Meghan for the Issue 41 photoshoot! Check the photos below for a sneak peek! Meanwhile Sophie is fresh from seeing a talk at the Crafts Council by Lorna Hamilton-Brown as part of the We Gather exhibition.
Photoshoot day is always an important one for the team, and Issue 41 is an extra special issue as it marks our 10th anniversary! We have so much to tell about the exciting things you can expect from this issue. All will be revealed in the coming weeks! Needless to say, mark your diaries for the pattern previews and pre-order release on 27th April as you won’t want to miss this bumper landmark issue!
We also catch up with what we are knitting! Sophie has the comforting jumper ‘Merywen’ from Ready Set Raglan on her needles and is using The Uncommon Thread, while Lydia is having an intarsia adventure with a self drafted design.
WHAT ARE WE EXCITED ABOUT?
Continuing the theme of stateside travels, Lydia was delighted to visit the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and see the work of Ruth Asawa which features woven wire sculptures, while Sophie recommends The Well Gardened Mind for an insight into the restorative power of gardening.
