NEWS

We have parties on our mind as Lydia has just celebrated her 30th birthday - many happy returns to her! Of course all this celebrating puts us in good stead to prepare all the fun things for Pomfest! Make sure you get your tickets for the marketplace here (you can choose either the Friday or the Saturday) and also for our Friday night event Pomcast live! Lydia and Sophie will be joined by special guests to bring you a live and interactive version of the podcast.

We want to hear from you for this special Pomcast Live; we need your queries for 'What Would Juju Do?', as Juju will be solving those dilemmas in person! Plus, if you remember our producer extraordinaire Eli reading your knitting horror stories on the podcast last Halloween,  you'll be pleased hear to we have him back again to entertain us as compère and craft disasters storyteller. Please send us your stories and WWJJD via podcast@pompommag.com - we hope to see you there!

TELL + TELL

While Lydia is enjoying some quality time with her Vellamo sleeves, she is also extolling the virtues and magic of weaving all the scarves! If you fancy trying weaving too, we highly recommend our tutorial from Issue 17!

Sophie has finished her Rockhopper Shawl and started the Tinea cardigan from Issue 20

REVIEW

Some gorgeous Waterstreet DK has come to visit from across the pond from the lovely folks at Northlight Fibres. We love this squishy soft merino and cashmere blend and are pretty impressed that the whole processing of this yarn is all done in the same place, Block Island in the United States. If you fancy getting your needles around these two skeins, simply comment below letting us know who you are most looking forward to seeing speak at Pomfest. Make sure you get your entries in before midnight 7th May as entries made after this won't count - good luck!

INTERVIEW

This episode we're joined by Gina Rockenwagner! You'll know her amazing geometric designs Rhombille and Equilibrium from Issue 16 and her springy quilt tutorial from Issue 20. We chat about colour, knits and what led Gina to start her clothing line Poppy and Pima. To top off this excellent interview, you Pomcats can get 25% off at the Poppy and Pima shop using the code pompom25 - thanks Gina!

And that's it, thanks for listening! We can't wait to meet you all at Pomcast Live.
