German Twisted Cast-On
This cast-on uses the basic set up of the long-tail cast on (steps 1-3), before working these instructions to produce an extra stretchy cast on edge!
Step 3: Bring tip of needle up through both strands thumb loop.
Step 4: Place your needle tip on top of the farthest strand.
Step 5: Pull it towards you under the nearest strand.
Step 6: Now bring the tip of the needle through loop on finger, pulling yarn through the smaller loop of the tail nearest the needle.
Step 7: Let loops on thumb slip off.
Step 8: Bring thumb under the loose tail, tighten the stitch until it is snug on the needle but not too tight!
Step 9: Repeat until you have the desired number of stitches.

- Nestledown from Issue 34 (pictured below)
- Luna from Issue 26
