Issue 40 - Official Preview

Welcome to our knitted dream world!

Within the pages of our 40th issue, you'll find 10 joy-bringing, whimsical knitting patterns! The designs reference the seemingly unstructured nature of dreams through floaty fabrics and ethereal embellishments, loose gauge, and by gently emboldening the maker to use their intuition when it comes to playing with colour. As with anything that appears effortless, copious amounts of imagination and clever thinking form the foundation of these designs and they encourage the kind of creative escapism we cherish in crafting.

Dream with us this spring!

When you've finished dreaming up colour combinations for the 10 knitting patterns, Issue 40 offers an article, a tutorial, and a recipe! In 'Making a World', lilith green discusses the intersection of crafting and neurodivergance, and what better recipe to pair with light and delicate designs than Stephanie Ganz' Honeysuckle Cream Puffs? For when you want to try your hand at a different type of craft, Karolina Merska guides you through the steps to make exquisite Polish pająki.

If our spring collection sounds like a dream come true, you can pre-order Issue 40 here or subscribe to a whole year of Pom Pom here (and get 4 issues for the price of 3). We expect subscriber and pre-ordered copies to arrive by mid-February.

Every print copy Pom Pom Quarterly comes with a complimentary PDF version so you can print the pattern you're working from. The PDF edition of Issue 40 will be available to download from 24th February, and on the same day, the issue will be available in digital-only form and it'll be for sale from our stockists

You can view the patterns on Ravelry here

With thanks to Issue 40's models, Stephanie Wang and Lola Hunt, and the photographer, Diana Ascarrunz. It was our pleasure to work with Hannah Zahner (HMU) and Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Centre (location).
